MFT: "8 Heads in a Duffel Bag" Dream Sequence

This is a scene from a film "8 Heads in a Duffel Bag". It is a very bad film. So bad i would not recommend you to watch it in its entirety. Don't waste your time. It is centered around aforementioned eight severed heads of some random guys packed into insignificant duffel bag. This package must be delivered to the boss as a proof of a job done by mafia fixer Tommy Spinelli played by Joe Pesci. He's a tough guy - something in-between Pesci's dramatic and comedic modes. He is no-nonsense straight to the point guy with a conceptual art streak - he likes to elaborately interrogate people. While being the most interesting character in a film - he's just an attraction. For some reason he is mostly in the background for a relationship semi-clapstick semi-screwball comedy. What a waste...

The film is built around a switch-up trope. Tommy gets his bag lost and so he goes on a quest to reclaim it. The bag gets into a possession of a dim-witted protagonist who was going to meet his girlfriend's parents. Girlfriend is played by Kristy Swanson who is not in a "Deadly Friend" mode (sadly, imagine this warped reverse Terminator plot, ahh... missed opportunities) - she's nice but nothing else. Parents are stereotypical Hollywood parents. These "characters" get their own painfully unwatchable "Six Characters in search of an Author" while Tommy is trying to get his job done with saddest face ever (Pesci goes full Joaquin Phoenix circa "Lovers" for some reason). The film is terrible. Please don't watch it.

Except for this dream sequence. The story goes: Tommy finally gets his hands on a bag and stops to get some rest in a motel. While sleeping he gets a nightmare where severed heads - all lined up in front of him - sing a variation of "Mr. Sandman" (Mr. Hitman), while their headless bodies break through walls and doors to get revenge on Tommy (who has nothing to do with their murders, he's just a guy to deliver a package). Then Tommy wakes up and everything is fine. It is supposed to be about guilt - but since Tommy is just a mafia delivery man - it makes no sense. Because it is a bad film. But outside context - it is at least silly funny.
